SEARCH PHASE


This will be a find only phase with no bite. It will consist of an area or building search.  When you feel your dog has located the hiding place you will notify the judges by raising one arm and pointing with the other arm to the hiding place. There will be a time limit.


OBEDIENCE PHASE


This phase will be an off-lead obedience routine consisting of left turns, right turns, about turns, slow heel, fast heel, down dog in motion, recall to heel, hand signals and may include tactical obedience with distractions such as loud noises and yelling, gunfire and decoys in bite equipment.


AGILITY


The agility course may be performed either in a fluid manner or with a sit before each obstacle. Either way, control of your dog should be demonstrated. Only two attempts at each obstacle will be permitted. Hand signals simultaneously given with verbal and encouragement commands are allowed. The course will consist of obstacles you are likely to encounter on the street including slick floors, metal grates, jumps, tunnels, water obstacles, etc.

PROTECTION


The protection phase will be announced on the day of the trial. It will consist of several scenarios. There will be a dog to demonstrate the exercises. You will be expected to take reasonable measures to protect the decoys in case of lost footing, equipment failure, etc.

DRUG


This will consist of a search for one or more of the following hidden drugs: cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana. (No pseudo drugs will be used) It may consist of building, vehicle, luggage and outdoor searches.

EXPLOSIVE


This will consist of a search for one or more of the following hidden explosives: TNT, Smokeless powder, C-4, Detonation Cord,  Dynamite. It may consist of building, vehicle, luggage and outdoor searches.

Any loose dog, dog that is out of control or dog that displays unwarranted aggression during the competition will be disqualified for that days events. No shake or throw chains, pinch collars, prong collars, electric collars, electric dummy collars or other control devices will be allowed during competition. Anyone caught using these devices while competing will be disqualified from the trial. The dog may have a choke or fur saver chain collar and or leather agitation collar. No prongs, bolts, or projections through the integral part of the collar. All collars will be checked.
